Back in the 90's, a small band of a group of people that sometimes got together to make some songs was born. There name: GLOOM.

We had lots of fun, and a wonderful experience and a beautiful journey with songs that were made and composed in record times.

Not much evidence was left back then, and I wanted to expose to the world some of the songs that were created on that crazy journey. So I decided to remake some of those songs and create a project called GLOOMLIT to share with all of you.

My name is Carlos Amaral and I am from Portugal. I started to fiddle around with guitar strings when I was 16/17 years old.

Funny enough, a literally started to play in only one string (the Low E string), until it started to sound a bit better than awful and neighbours stopped wanting to call the police. Then, I decided to start playing with 2 strings combining the A string and making power chords. Only after a few months of sometimes picking the guitar to have some fun, I started making chords with all 6 strings.
